Check the latest FCC Table of Allocations. Looks to me like they now regulate down to 8.3 khz.

Question:  I'm planning on using an impedance
bridge to determine the feed-point impedance
of my "phantom loop" antenna at 8.575 KC.
It should work like finding any such unknown Z,
should it not?
