Scrounge around for an XP.  Nowadays they are free by the truck-load for the 
asking.  I dug up one that is 3.2 GHz quad-core running XP SP3 with 200GB 
HD, slightly less fast than my wifes new (three months old) quad core 3.6 
GHz with Windows 7 Pro and 1TB HD, both 16GB of RAM.  Not much has changed 
over a decade other than the OS.
