[Lowfer] TH Chasing

John & All: I did some monitoring on 189.36 kHz for a few hours last
evening (sunset to about 0300 utc) but was involved in a shop project and
did not pay that close of attention to the state of propagation at the time.
>From my screen capture results, the propagation did seem to be down from
other evenings on 189 kHz. Odd, because 160m was doing fairly well into Eu
last night from about 0300 to 0500 utc. Several 160m EU cw stations well
out of the noise on an short and base loaded HF vertical. A few of the EU
stations were moving the S-meter on a Collins 75A-4A I was MDS testing at
the time... (usually I need my EWE antennas to hear cw EU stations on 160m)

One thing consistent at this location is that I seem to get stronger TH
signals in the 0200~0300 time frame

I would think from past observational experience that a longer skywave path
for TH would occur a few hours later---perhaps for John's location---but
that is just an intuitive guess on my part.

My 630m wspr2 program froze up on me overnight, so my data contribution was
limited overnight....
