[Lowfer] VE7BDQ in EN90xn (twice)

John: After the first BDQ decode I started cleaning all the center pins on
my rx filters and feed line connections in the sequences you were not
transmitting. Seems that the silver oxide
from the BNC connectors builds up quickly here over the course of 3~4 days.
It may be ionic related as my total rx power from the NW EWE antenna is
about 220,000uv as I am wedged about 5 miles between KDKA 1020 and WWNL 1080
50KW stations. So there is chance the second decode may not have happened if
I had not gone over the BNC connectors in the RX system. The converter
itself uses all SMA connectors and UT-141 cable so I do not have the oxide
issue in the converter itself, just be BNC quick connectors to the rx
feedline, CM chokes, filters, etc.
That reminds me I need to clean the BNC connector on the FT-817 IF radio,,,,
-25 SNR on a 3400km path is a decent signal, so I would not refer to your
VE7BDQ 2200m TX signal as "feeble." K9FD puts -25 signals into EN90xn as
about average signal level on 630m and half of that path is salt water while
estimating 1W EIRP for his transmit power. Whatever you have up and working,
it is doing very well.
