Argo sensitivity will be the same at either frequency input. Your receiver
might have lower audio output at 170 Hz in SSB unless you have passband tuning
that will shift the passband lower than the standard ~ 300 - 2800 Hz audio
output.
Sigs down on 2M this morning but you were still Q5. Glad to hear you back on
the band!

Subject: [Lowfer] Argo performance with low tone frequency?
Help! Does anyone know if there is any reduction in performance or
detection sensitivity using Argo for QRSS / DFCW with the signal at
a low tone, say around 170 Hz?
The last two nights I have been listening for DF2JP on DFCW but I
was concerned about this. So I set my receiver at 135.000 to get
1173 Hz tone in Argo. This means I could not monitor WSPR2 at the
same time. Now I am wondering if it is just as good to leave the
receiver at 136.000 and run Argo in parallel with WSJT-X for WSPR.
I suppose I lack a real understanding of how the detection works and
thus don't know if tone frequency has any affect at all on
sensitivity. I use a SDR so it should be no problem to adjust the
filter to pass 173 Hz to the decoder. Of course I also have to check
whether the wider bandwidth upsets WSJT-X...
