Hi Mike, sorry to hear of your noise rise at 75 kHz compared to 137 kHz.
I have plenty of 60-Hz picket fence issues much below 75 kHz and choke
filters are of no help. Fortunately, the signals are wideband and thus
stand out even in a hoard of narrow-spaced spikes. I have a modern
furnace (meaning plenty of electronics) and it really sprays junk when
the fan is running. So I put it on automatic and that helps a lot. But I
still have a band of spurious spikes below NAU on 40.8 kHz here too.
As winter approaches and storms subside I'm sure you'll do fine decoding
WH2XND on 75 kHz. Your reception on 474.2 kHz WSPR is impressive - I saw
a decode of XCR in Hawaii the other day.

Sure wish someone would look into what's on 24/7 right on the Navtex
mark (high) frequency, 518 kHz + 85 Hz. It's been present for several
weeks now.
