J.B. & All:  EAR doing well this morning (-49 range) about 20 to 21 dB above average noise (-69 to -70 in ARGO QRSS30).

A comparison with MLS which is about 6 ~ 7 dB strong at -43 range

Both captures made with my NW EWE antenna direction. EAR is a bit more down the front lobe of the EWE cardio pattern for the path direction but with

120 degrees or so of 3 dB beam width the gain difference is likely in the 1/2 dB range.   EAR being a bit more than 6dB lower in signal strength

is pretty close to free space path loss for just over twice the distance (~80 vs ~200 miles or so )...
