Happy New Year : Thanks for all the reports - I guess the mismatched
antenna must be radiating something... 5 amps at the antenna - and DC 150
watts input at the transmitter.
Just got an email from Steve - VE7SL - on Mayne Island, BC - seeing QRSS3
in and out of the noise at 3 PM local time on 475 kHz. ( Wow ).
Will be running this and doing a significant re-tuning of the antenna over
the next few days - weather and time permitting.
Thanks again - really appreciate the effort.
