Well, guess one is never too old to learn something new, eh?

I was using 8000 samples per second. I have three of those SYBA
dongles (they use the VIA ENVY VT1620A sound chip and are excellent
in all other respects). All of them are *extremely* close to the
nominal sample rate at 48000, 24000, 12000 (e.g. WSPR works perfectly
without any correction). I naively assumed 8000 would be bang on as
well. But then I injected a known audio tone at 8000 s/s rate and
measured the apparent frequency and whaddya know, the *actual* sample
rate was 7800.00223 s/s !!! I was flabbergasted. Typed in that
sample rate and WOLF now decodes correctly.

Dunno if it's the VT1620A chip or the Microsoft driver. You'd think
it would be easy to divide 48000 by 6 to get 8000.
