Mitch: Yes, VE7SL was real solid signal for our crossband QSO and I copied 
him calling CQ for 20 minutes or so afterwards before the signal faded 
during the activity weekend.

0630~0700 UTC seems to be a time frame where signals from the NW peak here, 
Also 0800~0900 UTC seems to be a favorable time to NW from here....

I would think it would not be too hard for you and Steve to accomplish a CW 
two way on ~ 475 kHz.  Staying awake would be half the battle....
