[Lowfer] good news for Clifton Labs fans

I heard from Bob Naumann, W5OV (sales manager at DX Engineering) today,
regarding my inquiry as to whether or not they had plans to manufacture the
Clifton Labs Z1501 active antenna and/or the Z1203 DC power coupler.
His response:
"The short answer is yes.
It's going to take a while longer, but things are progressing."
This is good news, as I was concerned about the fact that DX Engineering
was already manufacturing an active "e-probe" antenna, the ARAV3, which
looks to be a fine unit (if expensive) and built like a tank, but (per
their published specs) has a bottom frequency response of 100 kHz. What
concerned me was the old "duplication of services" caveat that I have
unfortunately had to deal with at work.
So, anyway, long story short, according to Bob, yes, DX Engineering is
going to manufacture and sell the Z1501 & Z1203 (perhaps renamed...who
knows?). How these products are going to be integrated into their current
catalog, and whether or not they will compete with their own ARAV3 is up
for speculation.
