That was a typo....should have been L-C with the L being a Hammond pie-wound 2.5 mH. RF
choke and the C is a dual-section BCB variable cap.  A switch selects either one or both of
the cap sections as required.  A National vernier dial-drive makes the sharp tuning easy.
