My mini whip is a modified PA0DT version atop an 18 foot non metallic
pole at the rear of my condo adjacent to the patio. The co-ax feed is
grounded to a 5 foot copper rod at the base of the pole. The whip is
powered by a 12 volt battery and solar charger. The feed line enters the
basement and is terminated by an isolation transformer which then feeds
the signal to the Icom IC-R75 receiver.
