I took a daytime bearing on this signal this afternoon and from here on
Mayne Island, it is 073 / 253 on my 10' x 20' rotatable loop. Definitely not
coming from the south. The bearing for the Canadian Naval Comms installation
at Matsqui / Aldergrove, BC (ex CFS), about 45 miles from me on Google maps
is 074 degrees from here, so it looks like a good match. The federal gov't
recently sunk a few million dollars into upgrading this facility. I first
noticed the signal last weekend when getting on 2200m to give one of our
locals (VE7CNF) his first 2200m QSO.
