I use a Comet UHV-6 antenna on 60m by replacing the approximately 1 ft long
40m resonator top whip with one that was about 4 ft long. The whip was
from an old 5/8 wave 2m antenna. It was pure trial and error - I started
by adding a long section of wire to the top of the existing whip, and
observing the SWR as I cut it shorter and shorter. I found the whip had to
be a bit longer than the wire I had tested with - probably because it was
thinner. So use caution when cutting the whip.
