My wife's Asus EEE Box PC B202 - purchased with WinXP, now running Win7 32
bit uses an external PSU which supplies 12 volt dc to the pc. Whether
capable of running Argo, WSPR, etc., I don't know but the spec for the B202
is readily available.

There are a few on USA eBay as I write this.

(The Asus EEE Box fastens to the 4 holes at the rear of most displays
intended for a wall mount.)

Static wasn't too bad, but I really believe I could have gotten more
consistent copy of the 1750m watering hole if I had been able to null what
there was.

Also had evidence in the wee hours that my computer battery is unable to
deliver power as well in cold weather as it did last year! It's enough
nuisance to have to recharge every four hours in normal temperatures, but
less time than that when it's near freezing is a royal pain. Open to
suggestions for a PC capable of running Argo, WSPR, etc., that is capable of

operation directly on 12 VDC.
