J.B., last night one message from area 4 station F in Boston was decoded
at 0450Z. That's usually the best I do. But between 0850Z and 0857Z 7
messages also decoded, way more than usual. Guess station E decided to
adhere to its 10 minute transmission window for a change.
Area 4 station G in New Orleans wasn't too long-winded either. It came
on at 0900Z and the last message decoded was timestamped 0913Z. That
left some time to copy the end of a weather report from area 4 station H
in Wiarton, ON. Even with a loop null pointed at it the signal was
fairly strong. When it ended at 0915Z a weaker signal was seen and a bit
of text came through indicating a sailboat was adrift. That was from
area 4 station H in Curacao. Another H station decoded at 1104Z - that
was Tofino, BC.
Conditions were decent in all directions here over night. Around 0930Z
350 kHz NDBs RB in NU, NY in BC, and DF in NL were all good copy. And
GPI in Columbia on 309 kHz was good too.
