Mike, thanks for the lowfer report. Wonder how you did with DF7FC over 
night?

Signals were generally better here than previous nights. As usual, NDB 
GPI on 309 kHz from Columbia came through awhile around 0300Z. Spent 
most time monitoring 490 and 518 kHz for Navtex stations. The previous 
night got decodes from all 3 US west coast stations on 518 kHz. Last 
night none of them decoded but Tofino, BC did decode at 0526 and 1105Z. 
Saw a neat transition on 320 kHz DGPS at 1105Z from decodes of ID160 in 
AL to decodes of ID304 in BC. No wonder Tofino came in so well.

On 490 kHz got the start of message "ZCZC JB" at 0538Z. Signals from the 
east were good at that time so it might have been Horta in the Azores. 
But the text was so garbled it wasn't clear just what the language was 
(it should have been Portuguese for Horta) so it remains a mystery.
