Thanx Garry. That makes sense. I tend to forget that the WSPR pgm can be lied to.

Maybe K0ZDK is a new call cuz he did not show up on QRZ.com.

Tnx agn.

WSPR 2.0 has no BAND choice for frequencies below 600 m but WSPR-X includes the 2200 m band. In either case though the dial frequency can be manually programmed. If the user is actually listening on 20 meters (14 MHz) like K0ZDK was, but programs in a dial frequency of 0.014... instead of 14.000, the result is like you observed. If you examine the WSPR database for K0ZDK (http://www.wsprnet.org/olddb?mode=html&band=all&limit=200&findcall=&findreporter=K0ZDK&sort=date) around 0700Z you'll see the reports switched back to the correct 20 meter frequencies. You can also confirm that reported decodes on 0.014..., for example of WA3DNM, were of stations always on 20 meters.

Other software versions false too on occasion, especially when big signals and their IM products are simultaneously in the passband. Can't do anything about that, but we can all try to make sure we use the right dial frequency.
