[Lowfer] 137 kHz

No daytime VO1NA here in Kansas. In fact, nobody at all when I first tuned
2200m about an hour and a half before sunset.

Suddenly, there was a very prominent "A" beginning around 2253 UTC, which
turned out to be XEB keying up in mid-X. Apparently, MP was in an unusually
deep pre-sunset fade at the time, but it started showing up too about 10
minutes later. Then, XEB shifted frequency just before 2325. MP was
clearer at QRSS60, but I chose this QRSS30 capture to show just how strong
XEB was. It was also plainly visible at QRSS10, and was audible most of the
time as well!

Currently too dangerous to monitor out there after sunset, so I had to call
it quits before things probably got even more interesting.

Looked at HiFERs earlier. Both SIWs were doing quite nicely, but with the
new perforation effect that showed up in propagation recently. EH was
showing a little bifurcation of its trace at the same time. Good copy of NC
and faint copy of MP. The new FSK HiFER WM showed up for a while, but
either went into a long, deep fade or went QRT just after 2217 UTC. MTI was
audible and PBJ visible & audible, but the two were right on top of each
other in frequency. GNK had wide QSB, but was distinct much of the time.
HiFER captures at the LW Message Board ( http://lwca.org/mb ) tomorrow.
