Most of us have assumed that since the Loran-C system in North America
was shut down some years ago (remember "Loran lines"?), that nothing was
happening in this part of the world on 100 kHz. Wrong! As of June 19, an
E-Loran station in Wildwood, NJ has been running, and the signal is
quite loud in New England. See:

A screenshot of Spectrum Lab's Loran Monitor shows the signal this
afternoon here in southern Maine. The GRI is 8970, which was the old
Great Lakes rate for Loran-C. It sounds (by ear) somewhat different than
the old system - looks like just a master and slave pulse.
