The coldest night of the winter found LF conditions here very good to
BC. First noticed NDB QQ quite strong on 400 kHz so decided to tune for
others. Ended up tuning clear down to 200 kHz using USB and looking for
signals around +400 Hz audio. In addition to QQ, logged YWB on 389 kHz,
WL on 385 kHz, EX on 374 kHz, ZP and SX on 368 kHz, YQZ and YAZ on 359
kHz, ON on 356 kHz, NY on 350 kHz, XX on 344 kHz, YJQ on 325 kHz, UNT on
312 kHz, YYF on 290 kHz, XS on 272 kHz, VR on 266 kHz, LW on 257 kHz,
YCD on 251 kHz, ZT and XC on 242 kHz, YZA on 236 kHz, CG on 227 kHz, YKA
on 223 kHz, LU on 214 kHz, and UAB on 200 kHz. Many of those NDBs were
running high power but a number are listed at only 25W. Nothing new was
logged but nice to see so many good signals from BC.

On 518 kHz, signals were apparent from area 12 station D, Prince Rupert,
British Columbia, but not strong enough to decode messages. Astoria, OR
(12W) did decode well, and also got a near sunrise message from San
Francisco (12C), but nothing came through from Long Beach (12Q). At the
same time signals were good NW NDBs in NL (AY on 356 kHz) and NS (ZHZ on
364 kHz) were coming through well and also got one message from the area
4,X Navtex station in Labrador.

I see lowfer WM survived the night and is doing well at the watering
hole. My lowfer SIW is currently down at 185.185 kHz.
