Garry: OK on all. I'm guessing he may have his audio levels set too high on 
TX...akin to an over-driven PSK signal effect

which is occassionally-to-commonly observed on HF Part 97 stations. 
Eventually he may "dial it in."  Otherwise, signal strength wise, my

NE EWE makes a big difference on his signal level vs my prior listening in 
the SW direction....

Also to report on condx last nite I had four BDQ captures overnite in the 
0900~1100 time frame in the low -20s and a few -8 SNRs from XND.

I say condx were average to slightly above average for awhile last night.
