[Lowfer] TALCAHUANO

On 021615 at 0820Z I saw a weak 518 kHz Navtex signal key up, after
Bermuda went QRT and just before being overwhelmed by area 12, station C
in San Francisco, which in turn was overwhelmed a bit later by area 4,
station C in Rivière-au-Renard, QC. According to my latest Navtex
schedule, the only other station that might have been active at that
time and receivable was area 15, station J in TALCAHUANO, Chile.
However, my brief, noisy decode signed the message as CU76.

I note that just like Kodiak, AK and PUERTO MONTT, Chile, TALCAHUANO,
Chile has a pair of stations assigned letters J and C. I have been
receiving Chile surprisingly well the last few weeks so I'm reasonably
sure the source I saw was transmitter C even though it's supposed to
come on 4 hours sooner and later.

Station J has been logged by others in AZ, CO, FL, and MO at 0820Z and
Station C has been logged by others in AZ, MO, and NS at 0420Z. But I
know the schedule is not followed some times because it claims stations
D and K both broadcast in English and I've definitely copied station K
in Spanish.

J.B. and others, any comment?
