Tom, 490 kHz was indeed disappointing last night. At the least Canadian 
station J should decode along with D and V and possibly station S, 
though not sure that's QRV in the winter.

But 490 was better than 518 kHz because station G hung up twice and 
didn't dekey correctly. Instead, it sent idle tones for hours, 
preventing anything else from being copied. This problem has happened at 
least 4 times the last few years so apparently it's beyond system 
maintenance capabilities to fix how their transmitter turns off. Pathetic.
