Tom, I have use YAND for a long time now and am happy with it. In the
last month I installed the newest release. I run it using Linux/Wine.
I use a PA0RDT mini whip about 20Ft above ground, which does ok but not
spectacular. I just looked back in the YAND log and find area 4 and 12
decodes. YAND id'd a couple area 1 logs, but the messages were garbled
and the method that YAND uses to id, it could have been tricked.
In the early 90's I used to use the MFJ-1278 TNC to decode navtex. I
liked it's feature to print messages only once. That was in the day
before soundcard decoding software.
