Thanks!  So far, so good with the new converter / lowpass filter. 
Unfortunately, this exercise confirms that the Elecraft KX3 is a source 
of drift in my setup until it is *really* good and warmed up.  (note: 
I'm not disparaging the KX3, I readily admit I'm using it way outside 
its intended area of use.)

WM was quite nice last night.  Here is a nice cap showing SJ, WM, and XEB:

Later in the evening, WM got stronger.  At 0730 UTC, it was as strong as 
I think I've seen it.  It then faded, then by 0830 UTC it was back to 
the same level of strength.

Even now, I'm seeing hints of WM.  :)

I may give 136 or 400 kHz WSPR a try this evening.  :)
