Chaps - thanks for the efforts - it wasnt a good night prop wise - lovely Aurora and all that but attenuation (apparently and I wait to be surprised)looks like being a wash.
Good thing though everything held together till 1645z when the U3 decided it didnt want to tx wspr15 anymore on 475. Probably went to lunch,,, :-) 136 was plodding away fine using the U2
Dont know why it stopped prob a power glitch as resetting and checking all is ok. I feared the worst and checked fuses and power fets just after sweeping the antenna with the AIM.
This set of FETS on the W1VD 500W amp has just had its anniversary and gratified for its very stable nature, although I think the W1VD filter just after it helps to buffer a lot of my antenna variables.
4.2A going up the 475kHz antennae for around 290W and some 44A on the 137 loop at 800W (single conductor)
