>From 12:25 to 3 PM CST, I was watching SIW slant mode on 185.185 kHz, 
simultaneously keeping an eye out for any appearance of WM at the watering 
hole.  No luck on the latter, though.  The SIW slant flat-tops on both the 
high and low sides at present, which results in a sort of three-level DFCW 
mode.  Looks like it would be pretty robust in the preence of random noise, 
but it was too quiet today to evaluate that hypothesis...nothing but  few 
wandering carriers of unknown origin.

For an hour and a half before sunset I was watching MP on 137.795. Thought 
maybe someone else would be on near that spot, being a December weekend, but 
apparently nobody was taking advantage of the low 'sferics to do some 
daytime groundwave DX.  Will continue looking this evening.
