Finally got my newly repackaged antenna buffer amp (with new, improved
power-over-coax) finished and took it to the field just as the sun was
setting. Since I expected MPand any other stations in the Northeast would
likely be in the sunset fade right then, I tested first at 22 meters. The
usual easterners were already gone for the day, apart from traces of USC.
But a rare path opening to Illinois allowed me to see both SIWs and also HF
WM for a time. Both WM and DFCW SIW were loud enough at times for aural
copy of the CW IDs, but that ceased to be the case after 90 minutes or so.

Slant SIW seems to have been undergoing some adjustment at the time, as
shown in the attached. Notice also a couple different types of multipath
showing up at QRSS30.

Switched over to 2200 meters afterward. In a little bit, I'll return to the
field and see who comes through there, although there was more static than I
really expected this evening.
