Garry: Yes, XHS/15 decodes have been rare here as well. I did a major
upgrade on my AC service ground and it seemed to lower the background
noise on WSPR2 waterfall in daylight conditions when paralleled with the
existing 4 ground rods ( connected vs not connected test).
So it was good to see BDQ pop in and hang close to how XJM copies with his
rural location and antennas after pouring some money into the ground....

Three eight foot ground rods 10 feet apart and 2ft down.....
All silver soldered (W8JI method) and 1/4 inch holes drilled in the 3/4
copper pipe on the bottom for occasion "watering" in dry weather....
8 inch by 20ft copper flashing at Home Depot is $40...
