Thanks to all for the very quick response...... frequency check from Jay
particularly. Nice clean background from John - but what do we expect from
the noise level in the cool Maine woods ?  Had to read your comment about
the dummy load twice before it kicked in.... I have experience, as we
probably all do, of working with a 60W, 100W or whatever dummy load - and
not realizing it until the contact had been made.
Usually local - but sometimes DX.

Steve: Sounds like a goal for the Fall/Winter season. Going to use one of
your new TRF receivers ?
