Looks like the 153 kHz signal went into the noise several hours after 
sunrise in Algeria.  Maybe the signal I'm seeing after sunrise in 
Algeria is from a more northern source.  What I'm more curious about is 
the signal I'm seeing that appears after my local sunrise.
