My EWE antenna does not favor the WNW or NW direction. I tried "omni mode" 
with the EWE unterminated. That was
not particularly useful on  evening of Sept 8.  On Sept 9 I had the EWE 
terminated to favor the SW and ran a slightly higher termination resistance 
to
lower the F/B a few dB, thinking it may help to hear better off the side. 
Perhaps it helped a tad. Making slow progress here towards setting up 
another LF/MF EWE
pointed to the NW for the upcoming season.
