[Lowfer] DropBox

Hi John. It's been a long time since I last installed Dropox, so my memory
of the process may be fuzzy. Also, I don't password protect my home desktop
since I'm the only one who ever touches it.

What I can tell you is that any files that you store in Dropbox folders are
also stored on your local drive, so yes, Dropbox would need permission to
write to your disk. You can turn this off, IIRC, but I seldom/never do
since I have a 2 terrabyte HD and it's only about 1/10 full. Having the
files stored on you local drive makes for faster access.

I also have Dropbox installed on my smart phone. One reason for this is
that whenever I take a picture with my phone camera, if I want to save it I
semply send it on to a dropbox folder and when I get home the picture is
already on my home computer.

Hope this helps.

-Doug
