<On going thread . . .>
Hi Mike,

I'm not LF-active now but was a nightly listener during the "Ashlock times." Yes, he was quite a force and quick to try out the unusual.

I started one of his LF TX designs, one that used a high mHz xtal and divided down. Not sure if that piece is on the Web now but I have a hard copy diagram in the file.

Beyond that the main thought to keep in mind is a Good ant. system. If using one of Bill's loops that should fly if tuned properly. Else if using a vertical a super good ground field is A Must.

Charlie: Thanks for your guidance and input on the operating frequency
for the WmBeacon. While the beacon is rock bound, it can be moved around
a little also.

There was no documentation included with the transmitter, and it was
completely hand / home made from Mr. Ashlock's design. The exciter /
keyer works perfectly. But before I put it on-line, I want to have it's
theory of operation and schematic documented. If (or when) disaster
hits, I will be able to repair it and not have to wonder how it's
suppose to work. It will likely be a couple more weeks before I attempt
an on-air test.
