Dex,
You want to talk about Ironic? About 35 yrs ago I worked at the Navy Lab in Washington DC in the Metrology Department, we had these kinds of meters all over the place and I had to calibrate them.. What a neat job that was. Hope they work out for you.

John, W1TAG, published this excellent page on RF ammeters for LF use
some time ago:

Ever since I've been on the look out for Weston 308 and 245 RF ammeters
at hamfest and auction sites. I know I've missed a few on eBay having
just never looked while an auction was active. Saturday I saw a nice
Weston 308 in original box on eBay at what I thought was a reasonable
buy it now price, guaranteed not DOA and listed by a reputable seller so
I bought it.
Today I continued the process of going though some of my 60's treasures
which was stored in an out building when I left home in 65. How ironic
it is that I found this before the eBay meter arrived:

Not tested yet and will not be any better for my purpose than the 308 or
the GE meters I've been using but to me it's like finding a treasure :)
Also I found an Olson Surprise Box, remember those? And the SCR-522 VHF
AM transmitter I used on 145 MC.
Oh the memories. Not the Elvis version but that's nice also.
