[Lowfer] LF This Afternoon

Still soggy in the field, but I was able to get to the antenna with a little
care. Watched HiFERs including XR in both mid and late afternoon (more on
that in a later post), and LF in between.

The SIW slant mode at 185.185 was not coming in as solidly as it was a
couple weeks ago. This is probably due to a combination of increasing
static as the afternoon progressed, and the long and gradual pre-sunset
fade. Interesting to note that the moving carrier in the ramps disappeared
before the steady frequency did.

Switched to watching MP at 137.7805 for about an hour and 45 minutes. The
whole sequence shows a pre-sunset fade there as well, but it did not take
the signal out entirely. The first "M" in this shot is the deepest point,
after which the level begins improving significantly despite a bit of a rise
in static as darkness approached.
