In regard to the latest message "29.499 tonight OP2H starts 2330..."
from Jack, WA9FVP,
I and others participating on this list are quite familiar with TACAMO
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TACAMO) and the frequencies where it often
appears. It does not transmit long, normally just a few minutes. It
normally begins with 50 Baud RTTY, then switches to very wide band MSK,
then less wide MSK. People on this list are also familiar with the 24/7
military transmitters like NAA on 24 kHz. Jay, W1VD has an extensive
list of currently active VLF sources at http://www.w1vd.com/vlf.html.
You can also get a feel for who you're hearing by searching "other" and
frequencies below 100 kHz at
http://www.classaxe.com/dx/ndb/rna/signal_list (the European listings
are even more extensive).
