Decent signals here last night. The eprobe outdid the loop a bit on
regular opera. Decodes at 0603Z and 0814Z had SNRs of -38 and -35 dB,
respectively for the eprobe and -41 and -36 dB for the loop. Ran deep
search code on the loop (that Windows 7 PC has enough horsepower to run
both codes but the XP PC used with the eprobe can't) and got:
2014-03-10 08:14:42 WH1XBA 934km 29498.998Hz 3mHz -43.1dBOp 98% 20.0dB
2014-03-10 06:03:26 WH1XBA 934km 29498.999Hz 2mHz -43.3dBOp 85% 19.7dB
2014-03-10 05:57:50 WH1XBA 934km 29498.999Hz 2mHz -43.4dBOp 100% 18.9dB
For some reason my spectrum span is noticeably less than what Marcus
shows, but did manage to just fit in both 29499 and 29501 Hz so if Dex
sends I'll be set to detect him too.
Bob, see at http://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26404526/opds.htm that
Marcus copied your keydown carrier. No opds decode later but that was
after his sunrise.
