Bob - Yep it is - if we look NAA it's a poor cousin to a lot of longer sea paths and the "easier" North South stuff - still we knew it wouldn't be easy here on the Pacific side - Hawaii, Japan and Oz are hoooge signals a lot of the time
- Im pretty happy I have all the sensitivity I need here and s/n isn't bad all in real terms - but the peaks from you (typically at 11Z) Ive seen here aren't that long before the s/n worsens as the evening goes on - not an easy balance... :-) It's a tough 5000Kms but interestingly every day is different and it's only going to be a matter of time before the ducks line up. But if you look at NAA over noise in Eu they have a few more dBs in their pockets - I love challenges.....
NAA in Green is starting to rise now at near 00 UTC - Ive cut out a lot of the plots to eliminate eyestrain -

Laurence;
Starting at about 2400 there is my signal on Markus's "6000" grabber. Signal shown up last three days. Noise a bit different from day to day but very consistent signal level from 2400-0700 or so. Certainly allot more signal lost over land both to John and you Laurence. Bob
