No decodes from me with using Opera and will probably shut everything down
for the night. I have not tried OPDS. Maybe next time.

Subject: [Lowfer] WH1XBA OPERA Signal at KU4XR

http://lwca.org/grabbers/ku4xr/

Put the grabber up just for " look see's " The New Isolation Transformer
seems to have
helped ma a great deal.. I was not able to see Bob's signal in QRSS before,
but tonite,
I am getting a clearly visible signal at 1579 Hz on the waterfall which is
29.499 KHz..
I have the rig on 31.070 KHz in LSB to receive him.. The signal faded at
01:45 UTC, and
did not show back up till 03:15 UTC.. If that is typical fade times for this
frequency range,
Then in my thoughts, OP2H will be a very disappointing mode overall.. I
missed the first
decode period due to starting too late, the 2nd decode period the signal
faded too much,
and the 3rd decode period isn't looking very promising either.. Bob's signal
has resurfaced,
but even if it stays soild, I don't know if an hour and 15 minutes will be
enough to decode..
If so; 6 hours of disappointing effort !! Now that I know that I can receive
this low.. QRSS
would at least give some satisfaction for the effort.. IF I can configure
opds for the 2 hour
mode; there is decodes as you go along thru the period so that you don't
wait for
2 hours and 11 minutes to see if you were successful.. From my grabber,
Bob's signal
looks stronger coming out of the fade than before the fade.. In this mode,
time will tell..
