[Lowfer] Re ; 29.499 QRSS 60

Bob - the Octoloop is now resonated on 29.499 - took  a while to get the passband response favorable. It was pretty noisy from qrn fairly late in the morning from storms way out in Asiapac, but at midday the background noise is around -110dBm into 50ohms with clicks and bangs still audible. The termination impedance at these lower freqs is a little higher than 50 ohms so i may try a little matching but I dont think it will matter.

Im using a digital W at G SLMS and its inbuilt USB/LSB decoder - some maths required as "dial" is 2kHz offset then audio into the soundcard.

Overnight we had pulsating clouds of Auroral light - some people may remember the old 1980's BBC Dr Who intro and youll get the idea, but the bands accordingly were dead.

Ill also run the omni and do some comparable views and take a look for Dex too.
