Hi All: Odd capture of WG2XIQ with my EWE pointed NE and XIQ ringing in at -18. John's signal is usually in the high -20s this time of evening in EN90xn.

       2014-07-10 02:56 WG2XIQ 0.475623 -22 0 EM12mp +30 1.000 WA3TTS EN90xn 1743 1083
       2014-07-10 02:54 WG2XKA 0.475723 -9 0 FN33lq +30 1.000 WA3TTS EN90xn 673 418
       2014-07-10 02:52 WG2XIQ 0.475623 -18 0 EM12mp +30 1.000 WA3TTS EN90xn 1743 1083

One can see from the XKA SNR of -9 the EWE antenna was favoring the NE direction. I was using the NE EWE transformer to receive at the time. Not a trace of XXM

until I switched to the SW transformer and then XIQ goes away....

       2014-07-10 03:02 WG2XXM 0.475711 -22 0 EM15lj +30 1.000 WA3TTS EN90xn 1594 990
       2014-07-10 02:58 WG2XXM 0.475711 -22 0 EM15lj +30 1.000 WA3TTS EN90xn 1594

I tried to repeat such an event, switching transformer direcions and adjusting in-shack termination resistance to no avail. I also had the preamp turned off on my FT-817
IF radio due to all the T-storm QRN tonite...

Perhaps a wave polarization flop that the EWE picked up on it's horizontal wire, but that is only conjecture on my part....
