Garry & All:  Nice mid-day signal from SIW....cyclic thermal drift is all on my rx end...

I ran the 18' * 70'  EWE on the SW transformer and unterminated the NE transformer (variable and switchable termination in shack) for "onmi mode" to improve signal capture from the WNW direction.  I made that switch just before 2PM local and the result is evident in the capture.....

Apparently quiet enough today to do that and not have noise from other directions detract from the capture.  

Sun activity looks interesting today, espically slow decay flare activity but won't be at home much this evening to investigate.....some of those GOES graph Xray flux peaks and slow decays from last night roughly correspond to times I was hearing LWBC audio on 183, 189, 162, 177, 225, 252, etc....

Then again, too much energy "up there" in the ionosphere might be detrimental, we can only wait & see what happens....
