IIRC it was also referred to as the "Mountains of North Carolina"  ...

That's back when the 'records' were falling with regularity ... first Argo twofer, threefer, fourfer 
etc ... early use of command line WOLF, AFRICAM etc ... W3EEE grabbers ... beginning days of 
transmitting loop antennas ... impressive amounts of  EU activity on 137 kHz.  Lot's of good 
memories ...
