Zack,

Dex is referring to a particularly ugly period of Lowfer history. I
suppose these things need to be brought up from time to time, lest we
revert to the behavior of those primitive days.

In 2001, somewhere around the 185.300 Lowfer watering hole, a triangular
waveform signal began appearing on a regular basis. Nobody seemed to
have any idea where it was coming from, or who was responsible. There
just weren't enough of us to properly DF it. The signal had the
appearance of a shark's dorsal fin, so it was quickly dubbed "Jaws."
Some of us were pretty convinced that we knew who was responsible, but
we had no luck in getting the guy to confess his transgressions. It
wasn't until I captured the signal one night, and noticed that there was
a repeating pattern of Morse "N" and "C" on the sloping lines. See:

I'll leave it to you to figure out which active Lowfer at the time was
living in NC, and using that as a callsign. Such a waste of those
microwatts of ERP...
