Just taking a quick break after an extended visit to the field. Moonlight
and temperatures in the 50s are making it pleasant to stay out there, but
the wind gets a little scary at times.

XKO was, as usual, the most powerful of the bunch on screen, with XEB around
5 or 6 dB lower but still dogboning. MP was exhibiting minor dogbones from
time to time, and XLP was generally clear even at 30 second mode with a few
fades. SEB's signal was audible and XKO was even more so. Everybody but
those two were averaging around S1 combined. When the twosome were on, peak
signal was S3 with the beat note both audible and visible on the meter. I'd
love to show some captures, but that'll have to wait for morning, as I
apparently left my memory stick at work Friday afternoon.

Have tuned down to the TA slot now. Didn't see anything in the first 15
minutes, but maybe it'll show later if I can stay awake late enough.

DCF77 was only about S3 at 9:30 CST instead of the S5 I've seen a lot
lately, but it is a little past its usual prime time. JJY at 40 kHz was
already coming in, so maybe the poles aren't too awfully disturbed by the
fast solar wind we've got right now. Static was not continuous, but crashes
to S9 are not uncommon. The area of t-storm coverage in Mexico has
diminished from the last time I was in town, so if that trend continues,
maybe there'll still be a chance of DK7FC. As I say, it's down to whether I
can stay awake long enough.
