Stay warm and safe John -
Im running the station in Alaska on auto but have switched in a probe for 74 whilst leaving the Ve7SL Octoloop on 136.
Still poor conditions up here though 17 decodes of XXM on 600m, and one OP32 137 from JA1NQI a at 0942Z last night. Its been a while.

Saw when you came on about 5:18 PM CST, Bob. About 6 dB stronger than XRS5,
according to Argo, and distinctly audible. In fact, there was a nice beat
note when both /4 and /5 were on at the same time. Watching a little while
longer too see if evening levels have stabilized, then will look at 137 for
a while.
My plan to watch for fluctuations in signal strength roughly an hour before
sunset were thwarted by some really nasty noise that appeared for 5 or more
minutes at a time earlier in the day, but then was continuous for an
extended interval from just after 3:30 to around 4:15 PM, right during that
critical time. Natural noise and signal were averaging around S1, but this
monster was up to S7 and consisted of two carriers separated by 120 Hz (plus
a lot of weaker, closer spaced ones) that wandered back and forth rapidly
within a couple hundred Hz of 74.32.
Odds are I won't spend much time at 137 tonight. We're already back down in
the single digits, near what they were earlier forecasting for tonight's
low! Thank goodness for the little truck I accidentally bought at an
auction and used for the first time today. It saved me a LOT of outdoor
setup/teardown time on battery charging sessions. Couldn't have handled a
day-long experiment in the cold with the usual car arrangement!
John
