Jay, yes it's interesting that receivers so relatively close don't 
necessarily copy the same DX. That's the norm at UHF and above (I've 
often listened to static on 432 MHz while a neighbor ham 30 miles away 
worked New England with S-9 signals), but I didn't expect it at LF. J.B. 
is only 350 miles away and we often copy different Navtex stations too.
